Is your domain currently with another provider? Then you can transfer it to WebOké. Your domain stays yours. When you transfer it, we immediately renew it for a year.
What do you need?
For most domains you'll need a transfer code, also known as an EPP token or authorisation code. You request this from your current provider. The Transfer a domain page shows, per provider, such as Hostnet, TransIP and Versio, where to find the code.
Please note: don't cancel your domain with your old provider before the transfer is complete. Otherwise the domain could end up in quarantine or become available again.
How to transfer a single domain
- Go to Domains in the menu and click Transfer a domain.
- Type your domain name in the search field (1) and click Check (2).
- Click Transfer this domain next to your domain. The domain is now in your shopping cart as a transfer.
- Click Continue. In the Set up your domains window, enter the Transfer code (EPP token). You also set up the nameservers, the link and the owner, see Setting up your domain: nameservers, linking to your package and the owner.
- Complete your order as described in Filling in your details (private or business, VAT number) and Review, confirm and check out.

If you search for a domain that's already taken using the regular domain search, you'll also see the Transfer this domain button, see Finding and choosing a domain name. For other extensions, you'll see Transfer instead.
Transferring together with a hosting package
If you're ordering a hosting package, choose Transfer a domain in step 1 of the order pop-up (see Choosing a hosting plan (web hosting, email plan, Nextcloud, AI Builder)).

- Enter your domain under Your domain name (1).
- Enter the code from your current provider under Transfer code (EPP token) (2).
- Don't have the code yet? Leave the field empty and tick I'll transfer this domain myself later (transfer code not needed yet). (3).
- Click Continue.
Transferring later
You don't need to have the transfer code straight away. If you choose to transfer later, you order your package now. You start the transfer yourself once you have the code, from the Transfer centre in My WebOké. See The transfer centre: transferring domains to WebOké.
The video with this article shows how to order a hosting package with a domain you'll transfer later, right up to the review screen. A second video shows how to request the free website transfer service.
Tip: is your website still running with your old provider? Then only transfer the domain once your website and email are ready at WebOké. When ordering, tick Yes, move my website to WebOké if you'd like us to transfer your website for you.
How long does it take?
A .nl domain usually transfers within a few minutes. Other extensions can take 5 to 7 days. You can see the progress in My WebOké under My Domains.
